As the Director of Clinical Operations I welcome you to the Directorate of Clinical Operations Web site. The development of this site is work in progress.
On 1 January 2005, the Sydney West Area Health Service (SWAHS) came into existence. The SWAHS is a dynamic organization, which covers a geographic Area of 8,900 sq kms and offers the full range of primary, secondary and tertiary health services to its residents and beyond.
To meet the challenges of providing safe and effective health care services to the community a new organisational structure for the SWAHS has been developed. Descriptions of the Directorate of Clinical Operations, the respective clinical Networks and their associated clinical services are provided here.
